Cavèdine Trails from Arco on Lake Garda August 2022

Description:
A relaxed trail loop around Lago di Cavèdine from Arco, which can be done anytime even in unstable weather. The highest point is at 630 m. From Arco, cycle the bike path to Ceniga and through the magnificent Marocche di Dro with partly steep rugged uphill ramps and intervals to Pietramurata. Then cross the Sarca river at the north shore of Lago di Cavèdine. From here, asphalt uphill towards Cavèdine to the Zona Archeologico branch. Here starts the 1st trail section to Dosso del Croce - another short asphalt uphill to just before San Siro, here right onto the 2nd trail section in intervals through an incredible archaeological landscape with slick-rock passages over Crona dei Gregi and Doss Tirol to the rest area above Cavèdine. Here begins the 3rd trail section after a short uphill that joins the road to Drena - cross it and continue the 4th trail section below Drena Castle on flow trails, partly a bit rugged, until entering the fruit and wine plantations at Dro and following the bike path back to Arco. 930 uphill Hm and 42 total kilometers.
