Description:
Our intention was to reach 'Cima AUCCIA' from Val Camonica and not from Maniva in Val Trompia. For this reason we chose to start from 'Degna', a small locality on the 'Strada delle Tre Valli' after Bienno (Bs) towards Passo Crocedomini. However, our goal became unreachable due to too much distance and also due to a flu that struck among us. In any case, it was worth it. We start at 7:40 for itinerary no. 790 reaching Campolaro at 9:00. The itinerary is well marked and heads to 'Crapa di Vaia'. We pass various malghe on little snow-covered terrain. When we are at 'Casinone di Arcina' (1766 m – 11:25 hours) and seeing the cross of 'Cima Auccia' very far away, we decide to stop. The place is pleasant, we are cheerful and the Camune mountains always beautiful with little snow. However, Monte Trabucco, completely blackened by a recent furious fire, saddens. Returning, near 'Malga Travagnolo' (1495 m) a diversion branches off (no. 790A) that takes us to the starting point without passing through Campolaro. We arrive in Degna at 14:30.
