Ski tour on 04.03.2016.

From the parking lot follow for 1.7 km almost flat either the road to Pass Hirschbichl or the hiking trail towards Hirschbichl. At the junction of the ascent to Hochkalter through Ofental turn left. After about 100 meters leave the path and keep right on the cart track followed to a bridge (from here ascent possibility into Sittersbachtal). Further around a wooded ridge to the end of the cart track. Now you are in the hollow that descends from Vorderberghörndl northwest. Ascending southeast gain a long forest clearing that dictates the further ascent. The forest thins out and you climb over the steep slopes out onto the ridge, which you follow to the summit. Some steeper steps require careful route choice in uncertain conditions. Finally over the narrowing ridge with skis to the summit cross in good conditions.
