Everything You Need To Know To Start Backpacking - Backpacking Basics
Hey y'all, I tried to pack this video with all the information I think you need ...
Description:
Ski tour on 13.02.2016.

From parking lot on the signposted forest road (toboggan run) westwards. Over a wide curve and two hairpins, then turning south 3 km up the toboggan run to the clearing at Eckaualm (1050 m). Now directly south into the wooded basin, then through the forest along the summer path upwards. Under a striking rock ledge cross right, then ascend again ca. 50 Hm south and turn in a left bend east. Continuing following the summer path now again directly south. At 1320 m crossing west again. Then leave the summer path, sprint south up and ascend right next to the pronounced, open steep hollow through light forest upwards. Right-holding through ever lighter larch forest and now through less steep terrain spurring, reach a flat, open ground (at ca. 1520 m), the so-called Hochalm. Here the route turns right (west). Below Hochalpscharte cross into the undulating slopes below the impressive walls of Blaueis- and Schärtenspitze. At ca. 1760 m aim southwest again and ascend – utilizing the undulating terrain structure – to the highest point of Hochalm, to a snow dome (without cross) below Blaueisspitze.
