Mountain hike on 08.08.2016.

From Blaueishütte follow the signposts towards Hochkalter. At approx. 1750 m, where the path to Hochkalter turns markedly west (towards the steep scree giant), keep left towards Blaueis. On the pronounced trail to the foot of Schärtenspitze west flank (not up to Blaueis!). Start of the partly secured summit climb at short ladder. Up the marked trail to the summit.
