Ski tour on 12.04.2017.

From the parking lot either on the footpath or the slightly higher forest road towards the middle station of the Jenner cable car, in both cases with slight loss of elevation and on the return with a short counter-climb. As soon as you reach the first piste, ascend its left edge, finally steeply up to a hollow path that leads left into the basin of Mitterkaseralm. In southern direction under the chairlift to the ridge, briefly left on the piste, then cross the ridge crest to the right and follow the summer trail to the Stahlhaus on the south side of the ridge. The slope traverse to the Stahlhaus can be unpleasant in hard snow conditions. From Stahlhaus southwards over the broad ridge to a larch-covered steep ascent. Over this, skis sometimes have to be carried briefly if there is little snow. You reach a flat hollow, through it, then again over somewhat steeper slopes upwards, to the right out onto the west ridge and over it (often windblown) to the summit.
