Description:
The classic from Petzl is designed for thinner single ropes and is certainly the most widespread belay device on the market. The entry angle of the brake rope has no effect on the blocking function. The quick release using the gasworks method works flawlessly, and the low weight expands the uses of the GriGri2 even in alpine terrain. Sufficient practice is necessary here as well to ensure safe belaying.
