Today The Mountaineers went to Tegernsee. Right at the train station, we start today's tour to Baumgartenschneid (1,448 m). First we hike on a wide forest road, later through the forest in steep switchbacks upwards. After about 2 hours, we reach the summit. Unfortunately, due to today's weather, the great view of Tegernsee is denied to us. Nevertheless, we treat ourselves to a short snack on the summit before descending towards Riederstein and Galaun Alm. The path from Riederstein leads us over numerous steps to Galaun Alm (1,070 m). After the well-deserved break, we go back over forest paths to the parking lot at the station. Even if the weather wasn't convincing, we are still glad to have spent the time in the fresh mountain air.
