Description:
Today we're heading to Saxon Switzerland, also known as Elbsandsteingebirge. I'll take you to my two personal highlights, the Bastei and the Schwedenlöcher. The hike starts at the hiking parking lot (1x fee required and right next to it 1x honor box) in Gamrig - from there on foot to the car-free spa town of Rathen right on the Elbe. Over 250 meters of elevation via stairs and paths we reach the Bastei and from there descend leisurely via the Schwedenlöcher back to Rathen.
