Description:
Risnjak National Park, located in Gorski Kotar (Croatia), was established in 1953. The core of the park is the Risnjak mountain massif with a peak at 1528 meters. The park is named after the lynx, and it is home to large mammals such as bear, wolf, and wild boars. The source of the Kupa is also part of the park since 1997.
