The traverse of Hochstaufen and Zwiesel is certainly one of the most beautiful but also most demanding tours in the Chiemgau Alps.
Starting from Padinger Alm, the path led us first over the Steinernen Jäger up to Hochstaufen. After a short break, we continued towards Mittelstaufen and Zwiesel. Following the ridge, scrambling sections and narrow mountain paths alternate constantly before the direct ascent to Zwiesel begins after a scree field.
