Zermatt: hike to Mettelhorn. Superb route to this summit giving a very high mountain impression. Route worth the detour! To do. August 2018.
In 2 days: 19 km - 2,050 m ascent - 2,050 m descent - T2 to T3 level. Small 'emergency' crampons can be useful to cross the large snowfield before the final ascent to the summit. The view is phenomenal in good weather, rarely seen.
