There are many vias ferratas near Salzburg. We chose several and completed this particularly interesting one, partly built in a deep rocky ravine.
The ferrata in the Postalm mountains is extremely different.
Near the town of Wolfgangsee, you turn into the mountains to the protected area. You pay an entrance fee of 6 euros per person and park at one of the parking lots. You put on your via ferrata set and descend via a demanding path (also secured with a rope) to the start of the ferrata - to a proper swinging Nepalese bridge - and start enjoying.
