Description: Surrounded by vineyards, the Senftenberg ruins perch on a high rock high above the Kremstal (Krems District) and shape the Kremstal and the similarly named market town with their dominant appearance. The construction of the mighty hilltop castle dates to the 11th century. Originally built as a castle, it was later converted into a palace.
