Description:
The Rote Wand is the second highest peak in the Lechquellengebirge and visible from many peaks in Vorarlberg. On the ascent from Formarinsee, from the Rote Scharte one is in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Großwalsertal. The slopes of the Rote Wand are habitat for many ibex seen in several herds.
