© CLAUDIO MORTINI™◊ The Renaissance complex, defined as “a villa inside a fortress”, is located in a border area between Umbria, Tuscany, Marche and Romagna in the province of Perugia!
It was born as a military fortress at the end of the 15th century when Città di Castello, to stem enemy attacks, decided to build a fortified castle designed by the Roman architect Mariano Savelli on the site of a pre-existing fortification owned by the Dotti family, now in ruins following the war events of the time.
