The birthplace of St. Benedict is in the midst of the celebrations dedicated to the Patron Saint, proclaimed by Pope Paul VI “Principal Patron of the whole of Europe”.

The celebrations that tradition usually sets for March 20 and 21 have been postponed due to their coincidence with Holy Week. But this has allowed the three Benedictine communities of Norcia, Subiaco and Cassino to schedule the celebrations on subsequent days and enhance them more, while also allowing wider participation.
