Allerona TR, ancient village of very ancient origin, is picturesquely located on a hill at 472 m a.s.l. One of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy'
The settlement, probably Etruscan, of Lerona was on the route of the ancient Rome-Chiusi road: the Cassia first, the Traiana later. Of the Roman road, sections of pavement and two milestones remain.
