【PRINCES' ISLANDS】The Princes' Islands are an archipelago made up of 9 islands in the Sea of Marmara very close to ISTANBUL.
These islands served as exile for princes and aristocrats in the Byzantine period and that's where their name comes from. Over time they became fashionable for the Ottoman aristocracy, who had wooden palaces and villas built. Part of that architecture can still be seen today and is what makes them special.
