Description:
Aukarscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2685 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located in country Austria 9 km south-southeast from the center of Gmünd and 10 km south from the center of Gerlos. The nearest mountain hut is Plauener Hütte, located 5km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 4 km east from the saddle there is glacier Zillerkees, 4 km east-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schönachkees. The saddle is located above the valley Zillergrund.
