Vordere Stangenspitze is 3127 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located in country Austria 2 km north-northwest of peak Wollbachspitz - Punta di Valle. The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is hunting cottage Jagdhütte Wandegg. 0.6 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Schafkarkees, 0.7 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Grasleitenkees.
