Weite Scharte

Description:
Weite Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2983 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located 0.3 km south of peak Hollenzkopf near the border with Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. West-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Wollbachkees, 0.8 km north-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Grasleitenkees. The saddle is located above the valley Sundergrund.
