Platten is 2548 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.4 km east of peak Hollenzkopf near the border with Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 4km west-northwest. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 1.3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Grasleitenkees, 4 km west from the summit there is also glacier Westliches Stillupkees.
