Große Ohrenspitze is 3101 meter high peakon which a cross stands and is part of the Rieserferner Group. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Barmer Hütte, located 1.4km north-northwest. And bivouac Schießstand Jagdverein St. Jakob is also close by. 4 km north of the peak there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo, 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Hochgall Ferner - Vedretta di Collalto.
