Ilovec is 1305 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located 0.6 km south of peak Pleša and jugoeast above the mountain pasture Belska planina. The nearest mountain hut is Počitniški dom Goričane, located 5km southeast. A bit closer is hunting cottage Lovska koča Mali Vokel, which is located 2km to the north. The peak is located northeast of the valley Bohinj.
