Today I went to Valvasorjev dom, since I haven't been hiking in the mountains for long, if I can call this an achievement. On the way home I stopped by acquaintances, from where I photographed these beautiful mountains, whose names I unfortunately don't know. Please, you who are greater experts on mountains, write to me. Was there Sunday, so a bit late with description, but it'll be nice this weekend too. By car to second serpentine, then on foot. Plowed but icy to Gozd hut, then to top easy. Wonderful weather Sunday.

@ribic: It happened to us with a friend too, on 18.08.2013 on Prgarca, that one, in the morning all honey, friendly as anything. In the afternoon on return really a bit grotesque and we two quickly got down

Since there is so much talk about huts and keepers, friendliness, unfriendliness of service, about prices I won't philosophize, as it's a bit beside the point for me. If some "item" runs out, it's logical and I won't complain about it.
A few vacation days, puffing a bit over the hills, of course I also stopped
at some hut.
Hut on Jezero pasture: polite, don't understand why they don't keep žganci, but that's their policy.
Andrejev dom on Slemen: just serve because they have to.
Hut on Smrekovec: polite, but without soul.
Kriška gora: friendly, obliging.
Kriška planina, Pr. Florjan: friendly and the best sour milk this year
Lešanska planina: nice, friendly.
Hut on Loki under Raduha: really nice pasture, friendly, obliging.
Hut at Merjasec on Vogel: friendly and obliging, only the sour milk they "slightly" palmed off on me, at least three days old and really inedible.
Dom Valentina Staniča: nice, obliging, friendly.
I can write, no problems anywhere, I just gladly return to some.

@otiv: pictures are gorgeous. Is there still any snowfield to cross on this route? On Thursday or Friday I'd go on this path. Thanks for reply and safe steps ahead.

I'm by no means a supporter of babying children until thirty and beyond. My two, now adults, flew out of the nest at 18, also with my help. Just my opinion is that as a parent I wouldn't let such young children alone on such paths. As a hiker, however, I do most tours alone, in twos or threes and somewhat avoid large groups.

I'll add it, although I don't like getting into such debates at all. Congratulations to Ajda and Žan for such a feat. And for reflection whether to continue the debate, criticizing or anything else. I would never let two minors, even though they're used to mountains, on such a path. Wondering where parental responsibility is here

With all due respect, I agree with Jus. It's not stingy to pay 200€ or more for shoes and have no problems with them. I have a really weird foot and the only shoe that fits me is Asolo, narrow enough, high enough, comfortable enough, and I wear it with pleasure, "noble" boot. I paid "only" 145€ for them on discount (officially they cost 179€). Totally cheap. I wanted to support domestic producers, others too..... unfortunately it didn't work. Now I join Jus on the tree, just take the teddy bear with me for comfort
