Hello, mountaineering friends and female friends. Do you know yet where you will spend the proverbially longest night of the year? I suggest that in this thread we collect suggestions or ideas where to head for the longest night of the year. Destinations: mountains/hills/mountains. I wish everyone a nice merry December.

The main parish of Šmartno pri Slovenj Gradcu is naturally rich and dotted with important cultural-sacral objects, such as the parish church of St. Martin and seven subsidiary churches: St. George, St. Barbara, St. Philip and St. James, St. Magdalene, St. Andrew, St. Thomas, St. Mary at Homec. All this we connected in 2008 into the Šmarška parish trail, equipped it with signposts, laminated boards at each church and marked with signs or markings ŠFP, which is a yellow triangle with a white dot, meaning the Eye of God. The entire trail is 28 km long and takes 7.5 hours to walk. Elevation difference is 389 m. This year's hike we started on 02 May at 06:00 at the parish church. At the Lešniks we had a hot meal, at St. Philip and St. James at 11:00 Holy Mass. This was already the XIV. traditional hike, on this occasion I thank all hosts along the trail and keykeepers who opened the churches for us to see the interior and sing a Marian song. Probably there they're not so obsessed with it as in the banana republic... I know people who went on hikes with five or more booklets, then they boast how many times they've been on this or that hike. What a crap...

Some of you are worse than those priests and old church ladies at mass. Jeez...

Best indicators that there's no crisis in Slovenia: parking lots at shopping centers packed to the brim and banging like on the front. Our southern brothers would say it has, it can. Crisis and recession are already present, but artificially created. As long as folks are walking out of shopping centers with full carts, no need to fear crisis.

I believe it's nice, but there have already been quite a few criticisms due to excessive banging, which doesn't belong in the mountains at all.

This is not a bad idea at all, a lantern in the backpack, and the thing is solved. Along the way there's no devil that some kind-hearted and generous Dolenjec wouldn't give something to eat and drink. In short, worth considering.
But not this year, some other time when the weather is friendlier. Those who want to wade through mud and on top pay for wading, be my guest. 100 people 100 wonders.

rudibr, the problem is that they want to portray it that way, but I don't know if it's really like that. Our southern brothers would call it insuring the enemy. Same with PDs, where they charge usurious registration fees for trips, say a group of 20 hikers goes by bus, and 10 km ride costs 20 euros per head. Now I don't know who's mocking whom.
And annual memberships etc... No thanks, I don't fall for such tricks... Yeah I say insuring the enemy or as we say leading the thirsty across water. But not me.
