We returned the visit to friendly CAI hikers from San Vito al Tagliamento and so about 40 of us gathered at the starting point Pian Fontana in Val Cimoliana. The weather wasn't really promising but luckily apart from occasional light cooling
, there was no precipitation. Broad views were somewhat missing due to mists—consequence of night rain and high humidity
. The path through the ash valley leads past pastures Laghet di sot and Laghet de sora, where from the overgrown pathlet one turns left to grassy slopes with barely traceable path and even that slowly disappears when the summit ascent begins on scree and finally crumbly rocks. Unfortunately, views from the top were limited to Cima dei Preti and Duranno, besides the foot of Antelao and part of Marmarole. Return by the same path, smaller part via abandoned variant through Val dei Drap. Beautiful places, already visited many times but still plenty in plans
