On Saturday my wife and I went to Kepa, left the car at the barrier - it's open - but with a warning that it will be closed on return. The path is OK all the way to the top. Markings would be good when you reach the road the third time, to clearly show the direction right along the road to the saddle. On return went along the road which is excellently maintained and knee-friendly. Met only one pair of hikers from the saddle onwards and at the top full of Austrians.
