Today I was on Struška. Via Pusti Rovt to Kočna saddle and further via Svečica pasture to the summit. Returned along the ridge itself to Kočna saddle. From pasture to summit about half a meter snow in gullies, but already quite nice bare patches in between. On descent along ridge sank several times up to my butt. Towards end of wide ridge section grabbed bushes a bit until hit old footprints where someone climbed.

Excellent morning hike.

Beautiful day, perfect for these two peaks. From Rudno polje along the road to the junction. Then along the track (a pair of legs) through the gully and right onto the wide ridge, and through the scree to the S wall of M. Selišnik. Over the wall a bit of climbing straight to the summit. Gorgeous view! Back along the ridge and descent to the south side and up by the wall, and along barely visible ledges through the bushes towards V. Selišnik. Across the scree to the saddle between the middle and large one, from there to the snowy ridge, and along it to the summit. Excellent tour for this time of year, just the right amount of snow so it's easier to walk back down, uphill not so strenuous. Except searching for passages through the scrub. Since we returned along the same 'path', the track is now well visible (until new snow). LP

Sledging from Tromeja with good sleds from the top. Road trampled by snowmobiles and yesterday icy at the bottom, up top enough firm base for sledging.

In Martuljek the track is also prepared.

Current sledging conditions:

Valvasor - Saturday: from hut to weekend houses through powder, then groomed road to parking, hit some stones and a bit before forest exit below walk few meters no snow, final meadow also little snow

Ljubelj - Sunday: except herd ''sheep'' super road, still no waves

Zelenica - Sunday: from Koča Vrtača along ski slope then before channel right into forest, nicely ratracked, in forest renewed fences on curves

Dom pod Storžičem - Monday: upper half super, lower lacks snow so hit many stones, walk to cross stream that runs across road below

The road to Draga is asphalted to the parking lot, a few meters of gravel to the larger parking lot. The only ''annoyance'' is the ascent over the steep Kalvarija above Preval if it's muddy. Before climbing to Veliki vrh, also visit Begunjska Vrtača on the east side of the Begunjščica ridge, nice walk across meadows, you won't regret it.

Planinca is still good to go right from the hut or even higher. Dom pod Storžičem is also excellent. But I would warn all night tobogganers who have the headlamp on during the ascent: don't look at the oncoming one, because you blind him completely. It happened to me twice this year; the first time it went centimeters past the legs of those walking behind the leader, of course not exactly at the edge who was shining nicely in my eyes.

Ljubelj is currently wavy, yesterday it was real torture and not tobogganing. We descended also from Vrtača hut to Zelenica, even on powder with crust it was rideable , enjoyed much more here than on road.

Valvazor - lots of jumps that can't be avoided in places, bottom is already pretty icy

Planinca - real ice slide through the gorge

Martuljek - super groomed, empty even on weekends, just right for multiple and multi-hour enjoyment

How's the road to Stari Ljubelj??

What about sledding from Belska planina, would it go, have hikers smoothed the road?
