Dear hribi.net portal user, We path markers often follow posts on this portal, ensuring that paths are normally passable and safe in good weather conditions. The statement "Very, very dangerous!" is very alarming, so we asked for opinions from hikers of two groups who yesterday descended via Žmavčarje and had Skuta behind them, having previously read your article. According to statements from both groups, the protection is stable and no visible damage at the spot in the picture, and the slab doesn't hang on the cable, a little above that spot there is indeed one pulled-out peg due to lightning strike. From here I ask others who will cross this section for their opinion, which you can send directly to PZS - poskodbe.poti@pzs.si. As soon as possible, one of the path markers from PD Kamnik, who maintain this path, will also inspect the spot in the photo. Safe steps Alojz Pirnat head of OPP KBO MDO

Path over Boštjanca to Turska gora open again! Yesterday 29.7.2017 we concluded two-day joint action of PZS maintainers in Boštjanca landslide area. Path closed from 23.5.2017 and not maintained before due to landslide activity. First part done already 20.7.2017 by two maintainers led by chief Zdravko Bodlaj, one active member and one alpinist PD Kamnik. Did rock blasting on active rock landslide part and trail cleaning on damaged protections section. Yesterday and today under chief leadership repaired damaged path section. Participated four maintainers PD Kamnik, one PD Bajtar and one PD Domžale. For safety PD Kamnik president personally rigged fixed rope at landslide site as wall part full of sand. Refilled damaged pegs and repaired 5 pitches wire rope total 40m, added 3 foot and 2 grip pegs. On return continued counting missing/damaged steps, added three new grip pegs at critical spots to Brana junction. Hope for fewer such landslides and path safe long time as shortest crossing Kamnik Alps from Kamniško to Kokrško sedlo. Written: OPP KBO MDO leader Alojz Pirnat
