And do you use Lhotse all year or do you use it more as a winter or transitional boot? It bothered me, namely, its hardness; or I doubted its usability and comfort for summer walking. Today I checked Alpina, Kibuba and Intersport where they have Planikin shoes. The saleswoman at Alpina, I felt a bit sorry for, especially since I tried almost everything she had, but nothing stood right on the foot, there was no real feel. In Kibuba they had Kayland Titan model, it fit almost like a glove, but in the end I decided for Planikin Jalovec. Like a glove for my foot, and it's Slovenian too.=) Let's say a classic boot for summer and a bit in winter, when there'll be money, I'll buy more specialized shoes (Lhotse will surely be next).

Trobec, I've already read your comments and they were helpful before and are now. thanks and exactly that, Peak and Tibet I checked and thought about the same option, two boots, one summer, one winter. The saleswoman kind of pushed Lhotse on me anyway, saying it's for all seasons etc.. especially as you said. "Regarding one or 2 pairs...if you plan to hike a lot both winter and summer, better 2 pairs. If just some occasional winter tour, one is enough." it will be smartest to buy good summer ones, which will also do light winter tours, for winter tours I still have some, old but still usable. the main point of my doubt was whether one boot can replace 2..even if quality, obviously not, right?

I need advice on selection. It's a compromise between model / price and usability after almost two years I'm taking up a bit more hill walking. I like to venture also into something more demanding (climbing, via ferratas). The sale at Alpina ends this week, and I'm facing a tough dilemma. Namely, my old shoes (alpina) need replacing. I read almost all forums on the topic, what to choose. While the saleswoman at alpina convinced me that the Lhotse model is perfect for me (really, I want a slightly more mountaineering winter boot) she also convinced me I'd walk in them in summer without issues. my opinion is that in summer, on hiking tours (difficulty Storžič, Kamniške, etc, in short nothing serious climbing) I'll simply destroy them. It's true I have winter mountaineering boots (K2), which will also soon need replacing.. would it pay more to get some summer ones? model Tibet or Nepal? or even Tundra? Are Lhotse so tough that they survive summer tours too, and comfortable to wear in summer as well? it's true, as much as I'd like to spend everything I have on two pairs of shoes (approx 150 + 100€), I can't justify that xD every opinion helps, definitely
