Did a circular route to Paglia Orba. To the summit on the west side scrambling over granite rocks. Need to follow the cairns, but sometimes there are too many and you don't know which one is right. Best to rely on feeling and seek the easiest passages. Scrambling ends at the fore-summit. Then a short descent to and re-ascent to the summit, where a wooden cross is placed. Descended to the south side, over a vertical crack along which a rope is fixed (for now still serving its purpose). And returned to the Ciottulu di i Mori hut. The path runs along the mountain stream Golo, where you can refresh in pleasant pools. Advise to start the tour early enough, as clouds or even rain often descend in these hills already in the early afternoon hours.

Is the road past Kranjski Rak to the quarry normally drivable?

Yesterday it was passable. Locally a bit icy but no problem to drive by car to the quarry.

You can also practically ski from Mala Planina to the quarry. Conditions are super right now.

Conditions are top-notch on all these peaks. Winter gear mandatory, then go for it.

On Saturday 14.12. from Planina Jezerca over Vrh Korena and Jež(a) ridge back. Quite some new snow on path, track nicely done. Windy at summit, used winter gear over Jež, not needed elsewhere.

This weekend could be extremely avalanche-prone due to high temperatures. Especially in the afternoons.

If you ask such nonsense, better stay home!

Komarča in winter conditions can be quite nasty. Usually they don't go there in winter. From the lake to Komna I doubt it's trodden. A couple of days ago they rescued two mountaineers there.

Hi, a week ago I went from Stahovica (parking at Calcit factory), past St. Primož, to Velika Planina. On Sunday there'll be lots of fresh snow, which extends walking time. Count around 4h. From Planina you can descend to the valley by gondola. Then you have a couple more km on the road to parking. Maybe we meet somewhere on the path
