Is the road to the hut drivable these days? Or up to where can one get by car? Thanks

End of June 2020 we went hiking to Nuvolau and to Cinque Torri. At the border everything was like old times, in the Dolomites extremely few people (otherwise one of the most visited paths), huts were open, even chairlifts (but real mountaineer doesn't need chairlifts mežikanje). Practically no snow on the path, only in one spot squeezing between rocks. Take advantage while possible to go abroad, uncertain season awaits.

Bagi, don't know if we were in the same period, probably you were earlier in spring, snow is quite a surprise. I only got to Camino Salvador beginning of June and it was gorgeous (thanks for pics and info!!). Just right or too warm temperatures, exactly right pilgrims and lodgings, too few hills mežikanje) I wrote a blog if anyone interested: https://potovanja-tamara.blogspot.com/2019/06/camino-de-san-salvador-160-tisoc.html

Bagi, thanks for your reports, especially for San Salvador. There are few first-hand infos about this trail... Pity you did it in rain, but that gives me hope that even rain is no obstacle...

Also my contribution on Camino Primitivo, I wrote a detailed blog, maybe helpful to someone; I could declare others' experiences my main "guide" mežikanje

Camino de Santiago is becoming a "habit" for me too. Sharing with you a link to a blog about Camino Inglés which I walked in January. Maybe helpful or encouraging for someone.

First a correction to a few posts back - Monte Corpinjo has an honest 68 meters nasmeh)

I also walked the Portuguese route all the way to Finisterre and Muxia, there is almost no info in Slovenian... And although the highest hill on this route measures about 400 meters, it is an exceptional route for hikers (and all others who want it)...
During the route I wrote a diary, now a blog has come from it and I gladly share it with you...

On 13.02. we went on the traditional winter hike to Peca. Snow fell the night before, the day was sunlit. Perfect for winter hike and quite kitschy beautiful. I wrote a blog, if someone hasn't been: Hike to Peca

In beautiful sunny weather on 20 September ascent to Creta Forata and also treat - "bend" to the window. Views reached all the way to the sea, connoisseurs recognized Savudrija nasmeh
More details on the blog: http://potovanja-tamara.blogspot.si/2015/09/izlet-v-karnijske-alpe-na-creto-forato.html

Wonderful and interesting.. Congratulations on choosing such an "unusual" tour...

Branee, thanks!!

End of August first time to Triglav via Planika. Fitness enough, but little experience with "climbing" part. If anyone can advise for section from Planika to summit - better leave poles at hut and go with free hands? (usually hike with poles, but if many pegs and slings poles just in way, better leave below).
Is it smart to have via ferrata set or just "psychological" support? (would need to buy SVV for this tour, but in pics almost all without...).
And if someone can judge which start closer time/km (from Coast everything far, choose closest start) - planning from Krma valley or end of road at Pokljuka, hard to judge how "fast" paths once asphalt ends...
Thanks!!

Gofra, we met on the path, but we started much later and when we got to the hut the cloud barely clung to Razor, otherwise we sunned ourselves all the way. Beautiful path, wonderful views. The path is easy but long, especially downhill, you never seem to reach the end smile

Yesterday I also headed out for a trip through the Glinščica valley (without via ferratas nasmeh). It's gorgeous and there really are paths for every taste. Some photos and my impressions at http://potovanja-tamara.blogspot.com/2015/05/potep-po-dolini-glinscice-val-rosandra.html
