Given that walking on mountain trails is not recommended, I allowed myself today to climb to Velika Poljana with snowshoes. I went along the forest track that starts above the weekend houses in Povlje village. At the yellow container I chose the middle path - tractor track. In beautiful sun I ascended gradually, no fallen trees on the path here, but on both sides. Path is safe, recommend only gaiters due to melting snow; snow sinks about ankle-deep. After half-hour walk the path joined the known Dolenčeva path, which is currently impassable due to fallen trees.
Based on my today's experiences this track will replace all other paths to my beloved Velika Poljana for a while. Hut on the pasture open on weekends in good weather. Today too friendly winter caretakers welcomed me with tea. Ričet was super. Trail under feet - no fear here.
