I frequently visit the popular Nanos and always found the hut nicely arranged. Mrs Anica, son Matjaž and other helpers are all very friendly and available. Sorry that Mr Lozar on Sunday 27.07. at almost 18 o'clock didn't get the desired gnocchi, as those gnocchi with goulash or mushrooms are excellent. Very good also jota with sausage and beans. Not to mention various desserts, with cooked štruklji at the top. And prices compared to nearby huts are certainly lower. As for the presence of the caretaker, it's very nice to arrive at Nanos in winter time. In deep snow, with strong bora and temperature well below zero....and look smoke from the chimney, Anica is there!! In those Saturdays or Sundays the hut will be visited by maybe five to ten people, please don't talk about gold mines.

Poor Vremščica, you've never been in such a state, not even in times when soldiers of the former JLA were training on your slopes. And what, today off-road vehicles are in fashion, so-called SUVs, with which some "nature lovers" drive right to the top. Incomprehensible that the authorities allow this at all. What about PZS on this?

Not only do I congratulate you both....A bit of envy is there too.

Here Pavel from Trieste. I've visited favorite Nanos many times. Yesterday I went up steep path and from first belay on it was quite "awkward". No crampons and for descent I chose "Janezovo". Lots of snow, but certainly less dangerous. Best wishes to injured, we probably know each other. LP
