The hiking trail in the section between Mali Sviščaki and the intersection of Snežnik and Madragočeva roads is temporarily closed due to logging and timber skidding.
Detailed status is visible on the attached map:

Yesterday morning around 5-5:30 am, they flew over Topolc near Ilirska Bistrica...couldn't see them...it was still dark...but could hear them very low.

The chapel is a bit larger...they are "scattered" around Snežnik forests - in the picture St. Gabriel, and Mary of the Snow on the path to Mali Snežnik, Mother of God or locally Materdei on the road 1km before Sviščaki, and St. Damian and Cosmas under Planinec, St. Gašper under Gašperjev hrib, St. Maver under Mavrov vrh, and if I'm not mistaken St. Just at the beginning of Lenčajeva road etc...

2 months delay

From the Bistrica side it's best via Mali Snežnik from Grda draga, because on the usual marked path from Sviščaki logging is currently underway and the road is closed this week - access via the forest variant above the mentioned road is possible.
On Monday the reverse situation - road opens, forest path closes.
Quieter variant is from Loška dolina via Gašperjev hrib.

try Planika, Meindl or some other German brand.
Namely Germans have wider feet or Germanic last, Planika has medium width or euro last, Italians mostly narrow lasts or Romano last, although I think Salewa, Scarpa and others make some models in multiple widths...

The variant to Grda draga via Mali Snežnik has deep chasms, cliffs or jumps in several places.
Be very careful!

Snežnik a bit differently...

Unfortunately camera won't work for now... sirocco blew off the antenna...S59DGO -
radio amateurs are already dealing with this trouble - they are also financiers and caretakers of the camera and all related...
