Yes, I know it's more of a compromise... Would have them mainly for summer, occasionally or exceptionally for winter. In principle as little as possible on snow with them, sometimes though. Don't want them to fall apart first time How do they do in dry? Good or is Alpina brand OK for hiking boots?

I'm interested in Alpina Trenta Lady boots. I tried them on in the shop and the feel is divine. Now I'm wondering if they are also suitable for rain, snow or water (membrane promises it), but I don't know how they hold up in practice. I'd like boots for both winter and summer, at a normal price. Now I have much pricier ones, but very clumsy, so looking for softer ones and Trenta Lady caught my eye. Experiences?
