Wow, I envy that view, I still owe a trip report. With colleague despite not too promising forecast 6.10.2012 at 9:30 start from Planina Kuhinja, summit was in fog the whole way so couldn't see how far it still was, fog the whole path but lifted not at ground so ok to go, midway to Batognica even sun showed, but Krn resisted sun rays, no problems we reached G. Zavetišče which was still open, refreshed, went to summit where there was strong wind and cold, gloves would have been good, then other way Krn Lake-Hut in Lepena back to valley, above lake even sun appeared... anyway nice varied path. Next time hope crowned with views and sun too. Goal mainly achieved, Krn conquered

Thanks , yeah, that Italian weather site my colleague already recommended to me; it's a pretty solid forecast, so I think tomorrow after a long time I'll see it from top down again (Krn) . Best regards.

well it'll be what it will be, as long as no bad fog where you see nothing in front we'll go... if not then sightseeing around... a bit Nadiža, Kozjak waterfall, along Kolovrat and Saturday Sunday will pass too

I see, yeah, in the morning it still showed sun... now clouds are already shown next to the sun... hm, about the fog I don't know if we'll go up, we'll see, in the morning what the situation will be at Planina Kuhinja, because Italians don't promise the best weather either

Tomorrow we are heading to Krn with a colleague, from Planina Kuhna to the top, then down to Krn Lake and to the hut in Lepena, weather forecast sunny, just the wind supposed to be quite strong (10-30 km/h gusts up to 40 km/h). Any advice?
