All of us in our little group were one day late, i.e. the next day. We were all very surprised by the many pics of "this spring's flowers" - hope flowers really this year's, winter was long and very snowy. For Golte visit we decided unanimously first nice weekend with stable weather, full sun forecast, nice views far around. If not given, all in vain - better luck next. Hope some of us with cameras, help with laptop and follow your forwarded pics to mountain lovers. For us all hope nice day to remember long. /Forecast not best this weekend! Best regards. otiv @ velik nasmeh

We wonder that you choose exactly that destination, like Orle. You should know that ice storm raged, at the gates of Ljubljana. You don't realize that walking under broken trees is very dangerous. It can suddenly collapse damaged. No need to ignore foresters' warning, don't go into the forest. We preferred to go to Šmarna gora. It was really fine, enough sun and not too crowded. Šmarna gora for us Ljubljana people, nearest destination and not too strenuous, now when there's no such condition yet. Everything from service is in best order. And safe step. LPnasmeh

@pelican Where do you see that you hop to Kriška in the afternoon. We decided to visit very early. In some places in Slovenia it was already raining lightly in the morning, but the mud didn't bother us at all. For higher snow, gaiters came in handy, later also crampons, at least for those who had them. If there won't be too much snow in higher areas in the future, it won't be long before we see spring flowers-crocuses that are eager to peek out on the mountain. From memory I tell you, there will be plenty of these flowers everywhere, enough to look at and pick a little less, for a small vase at home on the table! Be patient and as soon as possible "forget" the visit to Kriška and all the slightly worse conditions you experienced on Saturday during its visit. LPnasmeh

@Lidija Jesih
Just as not all people are for one and the same thing, so did you that Saturday run into all the least pleasant things, from no one visiting Čaven. You met no one properly, you were alone, you four. The rerouted path from Mali Gori to hut and Kuclje didn't throw you off track. The windthrow at the end of last year didn't seem so tragic to you. Ice and all the consequences shocked you more. Our small group in the week that followed, after your Čaven visit, had much more luck, both with the weather and the wonderful sun. It warmed us pleasantly all the way from the start. The ice consequences were no longer so catastrophic. After all the bad comes better, the warm sun helped with that. We promised ourselves that when the weather is good and conditions in the forest safer, we will help those in need with clearing the numerous broken branches and trees. For all hikers, everything lying on the ground is almost deadly dangerous. You trip, break and goodbye to hikes and pleasures of mountain visits for some time. For favorite "hut" visits, some patience will be needed. LPnasmeh

otiv@ Small group, more male population than gentle sex. We decided for visit to Javornik, your visit was still in 2013, we visited in first half of 2014. Temperatures satisfactory, warm sun warmed us, along paths spring flowers peeked from under snow. All participants commented and asked each other what your intention is to post more than 50 photos from mentioned Javornik visit. Doesn't matter if weekday or weekend. All shots probably not from one, but you have "stock" at home from previous trips. All who visit our beautiful peaks a bit envy you /most not so keen to photo/, we are such that we make some shots and that's enough. For most this hobby too expensive, rather spend money on petrol /vapors/, steel horse brings us to suitable height so no extra puffing uphill. Everyone burdened with backpack, huts closed this time unfortunately, suits us best food brought from home. Regards.nasmeh

On the calendar it was 23 January. The decision fell, let's go a bit before finishing work. We gritted our teeth without male company up the hill of Šmarna gora. The path was satisfactory, shoes not too muddy. The foot pace urged us faster so evening dusk wouldn't overtake us. We made it, but we were honestly tired as we're not yet in proper condition. We continued the path to the valley fastest to arrive before dark and ever falling rain. Next time to Šmarna, in more friendly sunny weather. Regardsnasmeh

such pleasant sun our small group hadn't expected for a long time, at this time/when 12.1.2014 is on the calendar. Wherever your eye looked, real crowd, like on the promenade in Tivoli. We wanted to make the most of the walk, because the power of the warm sun was diminishing very soon. For this Sunday it was a very pleasant and unforgettable trip. We hope there will be another Sunday/if not in January/ then later equally generous with warmth and power of sun rays. Nice regards!nasmeh

@smukc Asking about current conditions on Rodica. Us too - small group. From lozarbogdan's published pics winter conditions prevail, need to wait a bit more. But then in a month or two situation completely different. LP nasmeh

For the starting point we chose ČRNIVEC. At first the weather was not all that favorable, towards the top the sun also greeted us. Even if just strolling, it was not cold at all. The view also opened up to less and less snowy peaks, and a wonderful view far around. Not so much snow as the meteorologists tell us. We will repeat the not too demanding trip to Kašna planina - Kranjska Reber. We recommend to everyone sometime in spring time. LP nasmeh

otiv @ Also our small group, in summer didn't have who knows how much luck picking forest fruits, like you 8.7.2013, but we had more luck with various mushrooms, as we found some for an abundant dinner/each a bit/. It wonders us what happened to you, in both your posts only numbers in frames are shown, no pics anywhere. First date up to no.10, 14.9.2013 up to no.24. Probably higher power, or simply forgot! Explain a bit? Nice regards.

True polemic from many, some praise @otiv's pics, capralbexa's Rezist's, criticize Hribovc, real waste of time and all for commenting. Presented Rezist's pics are really wonderful, and it won't be long till our group sets off to admire the view from Stanič hut and nearby, all this alpine beauty. Nice greeting.

The forecast wasn't, who knows how promising, but we decided anyway to head to Struško-planina SVEČICA. Path to Križevci was satisfactory, the rest almost "mission impossible", but we overcame that too. Everyone photographed on their own, since all predecessors have already shown this viewed beauty of freshly blooming gentians, primroses, pansies and etc. to the wider circle of mountain lovers. On behalf of the small group, heartfelt thanks. Truly unforgettable! LP

otiv @ I'm in quite a dilemma who these four published photos belong to. Potepinka from 5.3.2012-probably hers, as she was on Rašica daytime and nighttime. But it's very strange that from Potepinka's post-5.3.2012 to yours 30.1.2013 almost a year passes! Did no one visit Rašica in between. You "send us off" with some verses, we don't know if they are originally yours or not? That you and your better half didn't conquer those "snowy, muddy paths" at all! You always take photos, but not one pic from you this time. As I said, you were on 30.1.2013 nicely by the warm stove, copying verses from someone third! Rašica, even though almost at Ljubljana's doorstep, will have to wait a bit more. No real interest for it, maybe better in future! LP

Also to our small group the path over Povden was more pleasant than over Razor. In the hut we got flancat and excellent tea. On the way back crampons were very useful in the lower icy part. Good luck in 2013.

Already a few days ago we decided to visit Stol. Although the road was quite demanding, we overcame it anyway. We soon found out it'd be windy on top; a warm hat and gloves were very useful! At Valvazorjeva hut, we enjoyed not just one but each two hot teas. The day was really pleasant, and with the worsening weather we won't visit it again this year. See you next spring. Lp
