You can see that a lot of people on this side have too much free time. Probably there would be much less unnecessary discussions if everyone minded their own business and didn't meddle in others' problems ... Zan just wasn't interested anymore and now devotes himself to other things that make him happy right now, we all hope he'll join us again for hikes in the mountains

Today Žan and I went independently to Kokrsko Saddle. Again we had the bus at 7:00, but today we weren't rushing for it, because we knew the departure time from the previous independent ascent to Kamniško Saddle. So we arrived at the bus, settled the fare and we drove to Kamniška Bistrica. Once we started walking we soon reached the first sign for Kokrsko Saddle. First we walked along the forest road, which later turned into a path. So we reached the road that leads to the parking for Kokrsko Saddle and many other places. We also reached the Žagana peč rock, a bit higher is the lower station of the cargo cableway to Kokrsko Saddle. So we walked through the forest and soon it got hot, so we changed into shorts. Since it wasn't so hot anymore we walked faster and arrived at the high-altitude forest, which led to the scrub. From there onwards there were scree fields, which passed quickly and we reached Kokrsko Saddle. There in the hut we treated ourselves to apple strudel and chocolate pancakes, and on top the caretakers gave us chocolate and candies. Then we just went down. The descent ended quickly despite picking strawberries and blueberries along the way. We reached the hut in Kamnička Bistrica and treated ourselves to a fruit cup and apple strudel. Since we had almost 3 hours until the bus arrived we played on the playground and at the spring of Kamniška Bistrica. When the bus came we settled the transport costs again, sat down and drove home.

Today my little brother Žan and I went again alone, traditionally to Kamnik Saddle. And already in the morning an incident happened. The day before we looked at the bus schedule, which was wrong, the first bus went almost an hour late, so instead of 7:00 at 7:55. Luckily we found out in the morning and rushed full speed to the bus, which we managed to catch on time (with some waiting). Well we drove off. We rode about 20 minutes. When we arrived in Kamniška Bistrica, Žan and I started walking right away and soon reached the first iconic spot-Galerija. From there we headed into the slope that ends at the lower station of the freight cable car. There you reach the forest road too, which you walk about 10 meters. Soon there's a branch and there the hiking path starts again. The path soon takes us to the Rokovnjaške caves and near them Žan and I had a short snack . When we continued it started getting hot, so we hurried so the highest heat wouldn't catch us in the scree. So we soon reached another junction of hiking path and forest road. From there it was still about an hour to Pastirji, where we intended to prepare for the heat. But when we got to Pastirji we realized there'd be no heat, because it was windy and getting cloudier. So we went on, stopped at a rock on the meadow above Pastirji, later also at the rock named Kamrica. From there it was really just a little to the hut. When we reached the hut we ordered apple pie there. After snacking we paid and left. Descent to Pastirji went quick and soon we reached the stream below Pastirji, where we played for quite a while. When we stopped playing we continued descent and in the blink of an eye we were home in Kamniška Bistrica. There we had lunch: I had apple strudel, Žan had štruklji. After lunch we played on the playground and explored and time just flew. The bus came and took us safely home.

Today my brother Žan and I went again by ourselves to Kamnik Saddle. The day was nice, because due to occasional wind it wasn't too hot in the scree. For a while a friendly pup followed us, but then headed to its owner. At the top there were choughs, at Kamnica gentians and some bilberries. When we got to the spring of Kamniška Bistrica we stayed there longer as always.

The black viper is actually the black variety of the common viper. With black color it attracts sun rays, because it lives in the mountains where it's colder. It's a legally protected species, as are ALL other snakes in Slovenia. But unfortunately very few people are aware of that, so many snakes end sadly. Also many people don't realize how important snakes and other reptiles (all protected) are for nature.

In the new year I wish you safe steps in the hills and elsewhere, luck, health and joy and respect for mountain flora and fauna. After all they have to try hard to survive winter and many don't manage. What else to say,... nothing, safe step in the hills further and maybe we meet somewhere in the mountains.

We started at 5.33. At the end I was pushing the hardest because I wanted time under 10 hours.

Today my little brother Žan and I went on another independent hike - this time to Kokrsko Saddle . The weather was excellent - not too cold, not too hot. We were at the top at 10:54. We ordered pancakes with jam. Again the alpine choughs greeted us. We were in the valley at 13:10 and again long wait for the bus. But time flew by quickly, because meanwhile we were playing on the "little island" at the source of Kamniška Bistrica, at the playground by the house in Kamniška Bistrica and had lunch. . This is our second time on this tour. I'm 12 years old, Žan is 9 years old. Thanks for the praises .

Today with little brother Žan we again did an independent hike to Kamnik Saddle . Weather was super. We found lots of primroses . At the top we were at 10:58. There big flocks of alpine choughs greeted us, flying happily over us. We ordered pancakes with jam and used vouchers for free tea. When we arrived at Pastirji we changed to shorts. At hut in Kamniška Bistrica at 13:15, so waited for bus whole 4 hours . Meanwhile ordered pljeskavica in lepinja, played on playground at hut in Kamniška Bistrica, went to spring of Kamniška Bistrica and at hut sheltered from showers that came and luckily quickly gone . Saw a flea too .

At PD Rašica camp visited Rodica via path from Ribčev Laz to Planina Suha then to Rodica top. Descent same path . At Planina Suha one from camp caught butterfly tore off one wing then abdomen. In TNP - not allowed, told him but he didn't care . Poor butterfly .

Today the youth commission organized a hike to Belska Kopa. Weather was nice, at the end a bit too hot. We didn't reach the top but it was nice.
The path was easy, no snow. It was well organized, just the walking was a bit slow. Two Messrs. Piska - mountain police - also went with us.

On Kamnik Saddle my brother and I had a great time yesterday. First we took the bus at 7 to Kamniška Bistrica. Then we went to Pastirci and had a break there. On the way to Pastirci there were lots of mice. Higher up from Pastirci we crossed some snow patches that are melting fast. At the top the hut was open, they serve only drinks. Two military helicopters flew to the saddle. On the way down we saw a flock of ducks.
When we got down we went to cool off at the source of Kamniška Bistrica. The weather was clear all day. Since bus connections are few we had time till 17:40 when the last bus goes.
