We start at Lake Landro, where the mulatjera begins, in the morning it's still in the shade, in the upper part it's already quite damaged and a bit more caution is needed, the end of the path is easy again. We look around a bit. We descend the same path and drive towards the three peaks

We chose the starting point in Roveredo.
Along the well-maintained path (mulatjera) no. 424, when we climb to 1900 m we move for quite some time at this altitude, of course 50 meters higher or lower. A little below the military object we reach trail 525. Access is quite difficult due to landslide. Before the military object we turn left and along the quite destroyed and also overgrown mulatjera we go to the saddle, Fonderis. Here a quite known mountain range shows up to us. We turn to the saddle, left to the summit. Nice weather today, of course hot in the sun. We return along the same path to the valley.

Well, the walk along the Šisernik path was really pleasant. The trail was dry, cleared, illuminated by the sun, so that the hike passed nicely. We two, however, have already walked this path several times this year.

Depends on what you want to give of yourself, if just for the summit and lots of pics, then Ledine or from the ramp count. If going to the hills to hike and sweat, pick a path from the valley, Jazbina, Ivarčko, Poštarski, all paths safe, at certain times. Winter, snow, ice, take crampons,....

Lp.

At two places the wind has bent some trees, so I expect that they will fall across the trail under the weight of the snow. Also lubader is active.

In winter time, I always take snowshoes with me, without them I've already gotten properly tired. You know what interests me, whether any tree has fallen across the path. I'm heading to Olševa, so I'd take appropriate tools with me. Lp. JanezS.

In these days around the new year, in a few days when I didn't feel like hiking, I worked on the Šisernik Trail. For some years I wondered and observed while hiking how the path was left to itself, more overgrown every year. I decided I would try to do something. Every time I went on the path, I already saw what and how needed to be done. Before Christmas I dug a few meters of trail at both ends where it descends into the ditch. Then cut spurs, blackberries and scrub along the ditch to the meadow where the ditch flattens. Next step with Romana from Kluka, where the trail turns from road into forest, there was lots of hanging brush, branches blocking the path under the weight of snow. Last step - work from Lakuž to road junction at monument. Branches leaning on trail there too. Now I feel satisfaction for doing what I planned for years. I wish you a pleasant hike on Šisernik Trail. LP. JanezS.

No snow on the trail.

If a person lives far from Pohorje, then it's better to arrive the day before at the foot of Pohorje, sleep there and the next day start walking early. Now there are the most beautiful mornings and they must be used for ascent to Pohorje. You can read our paths at romanajanez.eu. Regards.

Lots of choices, if it's easier for you at the start, it might be harder at the end. If you're going in a group, then set up the cars so you pick them up later. Also across Pohorje you have more choices. Shortest path, or a bit around. Everything can be hiked in one day. Hire a driver to take you to the start, later pick you up at the end. Options aplenty. Regards. J.

You saw and described the number of people well, on the Gora and at Poštarski. Who is responsible for the speed of service?? Greetings. J.

If doing SPP, just go simply over Smrekovec along it, Loka, Raduha, Grohat.....

KRIŽAN - URŠLA - ČRNA

From Križan it was quite tough, I set my pace that I know I'll hold to the top. At the hut I greet Jure. He offers me everything he has. I say goodbye quickly and hurry to the valley. In the valley calmly to Črna as many times before.

LOKA - SMREKOVEC RIDGE - SLEME - KRIŽAN.

In a shorter steep section, another strong shower soaks us to Vodol pasture. At Knezova planina, the mares wish for our group's company. Jealous stallion drives them away from us. It was a short clash, we stunned continue, alternating the lead. Zdravko, hope I named him right, was the most prepared, (I think he's capable of crossing K-24, 20 H.) In such weather, feet dragged. Besides showers, hail also added its contribution. Despite that we arrived at 14h at the hut. Here we change clothes and shoes, eat beans and hit the road. Now we had a nice dry path, even the sun showed up, except for light drizzling no rain. During the walk our column broke up.

BUKOVNIK - RADUHA - LOKA.

Also at Bukovnik, there's rich restocking of supplies. I just put on dry socks, shoes stay the same even though soaked. "On Raduha everything will be soaked and smooth rocks, also the path to Loka will be muddy." I warn friends. Also the car accompanying us will be absent six hours. To the hut at Grohat, rain leaves us alone. We turn into the hut for breakfast, which takes us half an hour. Through Durce light rain accompanies us, surprisingly on Raduha we're not the only hikers. Wind, fog, rain are our companions. At the top everyone turns immediately, except Marko (stamps logbooks for friends). Descent to Loka we did very carefully, despite that there were some dirty butts. At Loka I greet the warden, we drink one drink each......

KUMER- OLŠEVA - BUKOVNIK.

After descent from Pece, near the farm we change some wet gear, eat our prepared food. Of course due to the night hour 2.30 h and cloudy weather we do this in pitch darkness, I put on my third headlamp. The first one's switch failed (not the first time), so it stayed dry. The second probably didn't like the moisture, so it kept turning off. Walking along the road went in silence, we were all in bad mood because of the showers that kept alternating with dry weather. Occasionally I lifted my hood to make sure we were on the right path. When we left the road, probably Klemen woke up, because I muttered some bad words about him, (I just wish he now goes on the spot and checks the terrain condition when vegetation is at peak, not when snow melts and he searches for antlers on the terrain. That way he'll realize he was wrong when removing marks on Pece and here.) Under Foršnerca we turn off the lights. We reach the summit when it's not raining. After descent and along the ridge more showers soak us again. Wind to some extent dries the gear, then shower wets it again. At Bukovnik we lose one member, so five continue.

NIGHT ASCENT TO PECA

In the center of Crna we started walking at 22h. Three km asphalt, then steeply up the hill in Pristava. Trail in cloudy weather still dry. Deep breathing from effort disturbed by mosquitoes. At the hut wring out sweat-soaked strap, few sips and continue to the top. Due to fog and wind below summit put on windbreakers. At top few photos and descent to Kumr. Here first properly soaked intermittently. Then to Kumr no more rain, wet ground and wet grass cause some slips.
