Wannenkopf is 2006 meter high peak in the Bregenz Forest Mountains. The peak is located 0.6 km west of peak Gungern. The nearest mountain hut is Franz-Josef-Hütte, located 5km south. A little further is bivouac Untere Buchen. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Mellental.
