Description:
Velika Škavnica is 750 meter high peak. The peak is located 3 km east-southeast from the center of Stara vas and 4 km southeast from the center of Postojna. The nearest mountain hut is Koča Mladika na Pečni rebri, located 3km northwest. Closer is bivouac Lovska koča Trešnja ravan, which is located 2.0km to the southeast. 5 km south-southwest of the peak there is lake Petelinjsko jezero. The peak is located south of the valley Planinsko polje.
