Skutnik is 2074 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located 0.3 km northeast of peak Krnčica. The nearest mountain hut is Gomiščkovo Zavetišče na Krnu, located 2km south. Closer is hunting cottage Lovska koča na Polju, which is located 1.9km to the east-southeast. Northeast of the summit is the valley Dolina Lepene.
