Ščit is 356 meter high peak. The peak is located 0.8 km west-northwest from the center of Korenitka and 1.2 km east-northeast from the center of Stehanja vas. The nearest mountain hut is Lavričeva koča na Gradišču, located 10km west-northwest. A little further is Kocljevi. The peak is located northeast of the valley Ribniška dolina.
