Description:
Sassongher is 2665 meter high peakon which a cross stands located in the Dolomites mountain range. The peak is located 2 km east-northeast of peak Sass da Ciampac. The nearest mountain hut is Utia de Puez, located 4km northwest. A little further is Cason de Plan dal Crëp. The peak is located above the valley Gadertal - Val Badia.
