Rauchkogel is 603 meter high peak in the Vienna Woods. The peak is located 3 km north-northeast from the center of Klein-Mariazell and 4 km south-southwest from the center of Klausen-Leopoldsdorf. The nearest mountain hut is Schöpfl-Schutzhaus, located 6km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Erlebnisweg Peilstein. South of the summit is the valley Triestingtal.
