Rakitovec is 900 meter high peak. The peak is located in country Slovenia 0.2 km north from the center of Mali Rakitovec and 0.4 km west from the center of Veliki Rakitovec. The nearest mountain hut is Planina Ravne, located 6km north-northwest. A bit closer is bivouac Bivak Špilk, which is located 3km to the east. North-northwest of the summit is the valley Robanov kot.
