P.2478 is 2478 meter high peak and is part of the Verwall Alps. The peak is located 4 km northeast from the center of Gortipohl and 6 km east-northeast from the center of Sankt Gallenkirch. The nearest mountain hut is Alpe Gibau, located 5km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Unterstand Klettergarten Rifa. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Montafon.
